Robert Beatty graduated from Moss Point High School in 1969. Robert lettered in Football and Basketball and also participated in Swimming and Diving, where he won first place in both the One and Three Meter State Springboard Diving Championships, and was a member of the State High School Championship 200 yard Free Style Relay Team. He attended the University of Southern Mississippi and was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity. After college, Robert worked for 12 years at Corning Glass Works, then for 32 years in Contracts Administration for the Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion and Repair, U. S., Navy. Robert retired in 2020. Robert is an active member of Dantzler Memorial Methodist Church, a Global Methodist Church, and has served on several committees including the Board of Trustees. He is also a member of the Pascagoula Country Club. Robert and his wife, Janet, are the proud parents of two children, David Beatty of Moss Point and Dr. Elizabeth Beatty of Biloxi.
